Year 9 Religious Studies
Year 9 Religious Studies helps students aged 13 to 14 explore how faith shapes the way people live. It asks where morality comes from, then looks at the Golden Rule, commandments, precepts and pillars, honesty, kindness and compassion. It covers caring for the planet and for animals, simple living, and giving through zakah, sadaqah, tzedakah, sewa, dana and dasvandh. It ends with faith in the community, disability and inclusion, religious freedom, living well online, peace, forgiveness, reconciliation and justice. Each unit opens with a painted scene, followed by clear explanations, key words, an activity and questions, with answers and a word list at the back. It never tells students what to believe.
