Secondary Spanish
Secondary Spanish is a clear, friendly textbook for students aged 11 to 14 (Key Stage 3, Years 7–9). It covers the national curriculum for modern foreign languages in England, building listening, speaking, reading and writing step by step. Students learn to talk about themselves, their family, pets, birthdays and school, then move on to free time, the weather, asking questions and saying what they don't do, food and meals, shopping at the café and the market, their town and weekend plans. In the final part they describe holidays and a day out using the past tense, and talk about their daily routine, health, technology, the Spanish-speaking world and their future, ending with famous lines by the poet Antonio Machado. Every unit has dialogues, clear grammar boxes on genders, agreement, verbs and tenses, tips on Spanish sounds and spelling, culture notes, and practice questions with full answers. Verb tables, classroom Spanish and a Spanish–English glossary make it a supportive companion for class, homework and revision.
